please assist me

Hello
I was in court today and sat on various chairs and when I went home my underware had a blood on it.  I am sure nothing stung me but the blood confused me. Assuming it was a needle or an injection ,  it wouldn't infect me right ? Or it would?
I. Am not a paranoid person but just wanted to ask

Thank you. Very much for the feed back.  Your answer was enlightening to me.   So even if someone gets poked by a needle , he wouldn't have a risk unless it was injected directly to the vain?
Best regards

Thank you for your involvment.
The couches at court are very fluffly and I worry if some drug addect or so was hiding a needle under the couch.  If that was the case and it poked me, would I be at risk ?
Best regards

Thank you very much for your explanation.   It made a lot of sense and was helpful.    If I may only comment on your last part
"nd two, even if you DID, it would not pose an HIV risk because the virus does not remain active once exposed to the elements. "
This is true even if it was a needle or syringe?

The blood could have been from literally anything...a pimple that burst open "down there".  That's common.

For one, it would be highly unlikely that you got poked with something sharp and didn't feel it (especially if it drew blood), and two, even if you DID, it would not pose an HIV risk because the virus does not remain active once exposed to the elements.

You have no worries.
