Should I be worried about having HIV?

Hi Doctor. I am here to ask a question regarding HIV. The story is, me and my girlfriend were fooling around and our genitals touching and the tip of my penis went inside her without a condom. After a year, we finally got really intimate. She doesn't have a family history of HIV but she did have a boyfriend three years ago. They did not have sex and she was still a virgin when she became my girlfriend. Throughout the year we were together, she did not show any symptoms of having HIV or AIDS. She is my first girlfriend too and I've never got into any sexual contact with other girls. This might be an uneducated question and although I'm not showing any symptoms after 6 month of that incident, I'm really paranoid. Is it possible for me to contract HIV from her with the information I've given to you?

Do not have unprotected vaginal or anal sex with partners of unknown status
Do not share IV drug needles

That is all you need to stay away from and you will stay HIV free

Hope this helps

Oh thank you! We are both virgins, cross our hearts. and one more thing. Is the fact about having a monogamous relationship one way to prevent getting HIV?

If she was really a virgin, you have nothing to worry about in regards to HIV.

It is a good practice to always be tested together before having sex just so you are 100% sure. Otherwise use condoms

Hope this helps

Everything I say is true. She did have a boyfriend before, but they never did it. When we were actually getting intimate and I tried to penetrate, she couldn't take the pain as if she was still a virgin. 6 months after that incident, I start to get paranoid as i got to know more of diseases and viruses. I have a weak mind and I get paranoid easily. I'm here asking people's thoughts and facts about my situation.

No, If everything you say is true - You can not get something from her she does not have. If you do not know for sure that she never had sex then you should seek testing for HIV now to get your conclusive results.

As for symptoms, They mean nothing in knowing someones HIV status

Hope this helps
