Can I be infected, three yrs w/o symptoms?

Hello, I am a 25 year old female and I am in need of Advice or Opinions...

Three years ago, I had a short relationship(couple of months) with my boss,
and we had a bit of quick sex, he penetrated me w/o a condom for like 1 min, then we stopped
and did some oral. I left the job and got back together with my son father, since then its been three years
we are together on a monogamous relationship, got married etc. During this time my husband has done his annual physical check-ups  ( STD, HIV, etc ) and everything has come up fine. I've never been with another man, after my adventure with the boss, but I am still worried, Do you think I can be infected? I am getting my physical this month, but this have been on my mind since it happened. Please Give me some advice ..

risk for transmission from infected female to male is estimated to be 1/1000 - 1/10000. Your husband being STD free is totally a good sign that you didn't acquire any STI from your boss since other bacterial infections are more contagious but you still need to get tested. It would be better to be responsible enough. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll get tested. But my husband has come up good on all his test for the past three yrs. If I was infected, wouldn't him be infected by now? Its been three yrs together having unprotected sex.

Yes you can be infected, now your chance is low but testing should be done to clear any doubt in your mind.

its better to get full STD screening for peace of mind since what you stated is a risk. You should have done this years ago, but I think you will be fine. God bless.
