Hello,
I had a protected anal intercourse, being the bottom, for the first time in my life 30 days ago + unprotected oral sex being the receiving partner. I have checked the condom after the intercourse and it was not broken or anything. My partner came in my mouth.
Few weeks after that i got really sick, it all started with a stuffy nose, then a day after i got cough, and really bad fatigue with chills and hot waves. A day after my throat got sore and my lymph nodes around the neck enlarged. I haven't experienced any fever, just fatigue and pain in the throat. On day 4 i felt better, but next day it started all over again. So on day five i took one tablet of antibiotics and few hours later i received a rash on the legs, arms and body, very itchy and very swollen. My lips swelled also. The rash disappeared over the night and my lips got back to normal. I went to a doctor and he said this was an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, he checked my throat and said i need no further treatment and have to let the body recover by itself. On day 6 all of the symptoms almost disappeared.
In general i freaked out and i got tested today with a standard antibody test, on day 30. It was negative.
How worried should i be? Should i get retested again? is 4 weeks negative result by a simple antibody test a good indication or is it too early to be taken into consideration?
thank you!
