You had no risk for HIV even if you used the same condom for oral sex and protected vaginal sex.
Oral sex without a condom is no risk for HIV
Proteced vaginal sex is no risk for HIV
Thank you for your response. So you would suggest I don't worry regarding the HIV? Other websites suggest it is a possibility? Thank you again.
Using condoms that stay intact prevents HIV transmission. You do not need to worry, you had no risk for HIV
Sorry to be a pain, anxiety is getting the better of me. So regarding the oral on her I have no exposure risk and I can cancel my future HIV tests?
You don't need anymore tests...giving her Oral Sex is no risk to you!
Thank you so much, you guys provide a wonderfully reassuring service. If I could ask one more question.... I will cancel my HIV tests tomorrow, but would you advise going ahead with general std tests?
You can check with the STD forum reguarding other STD risks...
You need to post your STD questions in the STD forum.
I just wanted to update everyone that may potentially read this thread. I received my test results back today - both my urine and blood tests came back clear. My HIV RNA pcr test also came back clear at a completely normal level. I know I'm not completely clear as yet but I have a weight lifted off my shoulders and feel much better. My advice is to get tested and learn from your mistakes. Stay safe everyone and god bless.
You never had an exposure and didn't need testing.
Im starting to appreciate that now. However sometimes you need to do things for your own peace of mind. You guys provide an amazing service that I and many others are grateful
for but sometimes even the smallest doubt can eat away at you. Words can only comfort you in these cases and you need more to satisfy your own insecurities regardless of how unrealistic you are being. Please don't ever stop the work that you do.
I'm sorry to repost on here but I don't feel there is anything else I can do. I understand that that most people in the group are saying that I had no risk but... 2.5 weeks after the event I have developed a mild sore throat and a my lower back is very sore, are these potential signs of HIV? I'm starting to worry that the condom may have failed as I was very drunk and cannot remember everything clearly. Please advise and I will put this to bed.
Had the condom failed you would have known and remember even considering that you were drunk. You wouldn't be here questioning it. You never had an exposure.
You had no HIV risk, so they have nothing to do with it.
Like I said I was very drunk and it is not 100% clear. Do my symptoms suggest a possible issue?
Those symptoms your having are not ARS symptoms.Relax.you never had a risk from your encounters, hiv is not transmitted that way.
So my issues are pure coincidence? If I had unprotected sex and had the same issues would you still say they are not HIV related?

I appologise, it is my last question. Please can it be answered and I will post no more.
Your question doesn't deserve an answer. Move on and have a good day.
I don't know how you can say that when you have the knowledge to help someone. In the time that response took to write you could have easily answered my question and helped me.
you have been assessed as NOT having a risk for contracting hiv from what you have described.
hiv is transmitted through...
unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse
sharing iv drug works
mother to child
kindly move along...you do not have a hiv concern and we are not a psychological counseling service.
My doubts have arisen based on the potential that the condom failed, being as drunk as I was I can't remember and I'm worried my symptoms are suggesting it may have failed. If my symptoms are not linked to HIV then I can be happier the condom didn't fail or come off.
I would presume that you're not a regular goer to these massage parlors, which is why your mind is playing tricks on you by establishing guilt, thus creating the possibility that the condom might have failed.
Get tested already at 4 weeks to clear your doubts.
