you never had a risk, what does that mean?It means you don't have HIV and you need to find something else to do instead of stressing over nothing.
Sorry Teak. I could not understand. "the prednisolone did affect anything" means??? Is this affect the test?
You never had an exposure and the prednisolone did affect anything.
Can you please confirm 10mg dose of Prednisolone for 45 days didn't affect my 12th week HIV antibody test?. Because i have read that the steroids will suppress the immunity and results delayed conversion. I met two doctors for this issue. One doctor told me that this test is conclusive. But the other told me to retest after 6months. I am confusing a lot. Please help me..
You never had a risk and never needed to test.
Had you HAD a risk, your 12 week test wold prove you are not infected.
1)Is these steroids affect my 12 week HIV test? NO
2)Do i need further testing? NO. You never needed to test at all.
An RNA test at 16 days (for someone with a risk) does not "prove" a person is not infected. It is in no way conclsuive, and is not a stand alone test.
You didn't require any HIV testing at all because you had no risk--kissing is no risk.A negative RNA at 16 days is also proof that you don't have HIV.
