Just a last question to all :(

hi all,

I know that i have an anxiety and my exposures carry minimal risks (did my eye brow piercing where i saw some blood drop (1 drop approx) on
the starter stud which he used for piercing.
and on the same day i took some injection (pain killer) from doctor where i did not see him opening new needle or syringe)

everyone told me it's not a risk but for my peace of mind i did test last week 4.5 weeks (31 days) elisa test for antibodies 1 and 2.

i got value like below.
patient value:0.19
cut off value:0.25

now my questions.

1.can i believe my 4.5 week test(i know 12 week test reliable) considering my low exposure?
2.do i need further testing?
3.are these values look normal? anything should i be worried?

Thanks to all. based on your answers i will stay back from internet and live my life.

Get back to your normal life and forget about all this because you had no risk and also your test was negative.Time to stop worrying.

An antibody test at 32 days is around 95% accurate.

thanks for the reply.

it was a antibody test. but just want to know what % of newly infected people prove positive by antibody
test at 32 day mark?

it's been almost 8 weeks and i don't have any problem. only anxiety bothers me.

also should i be worried about the values or it's just a value based on the nature of the test?

You never had a risk.Hiv is not transmitted in such a manner. If your test was a DUO it would have been very accurate. You don't need to worry about Hiv.
