. If someone is hiv positive would a dentist really not care and use unsterile equipment on them.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick question, I read a post from another user concerned about dental work. If someone is hiv positive would a dentist really not care and use unsterile equipment on them. That is scary to me. I would think they would be more concerned about using sterile equipment on someone whi is compromised.
Doesn't matter what it was, you don't get HIV in this manner
ok, thanks. I have never seen a needle (hypodermic) upclose. I didn't know if someone could bend it and maybe it looked more like a pen.
Say what? Yes you would have known the difference. Move on.
One more question, would it have been apparent to me if it was a hollow needle or a mangled pin? Our hollow needles able to be bent like pins. The top looked like a pin, but i just wondered if hypodermic needles did too?
Thanks Nursegirl,
I wouldn't have been worried if I thought it had been there for a long time. I was just worried that it could have been seconds after someone had poked themselves, that is why I was scared. But even then there is no risk, correct? Again, thank you!!!
Yes, the health pages on here.
Also--search the existing posts about "environmental surfaces". HIV cannot be transmitted from environmental surfaces or inanimate objects.
NO risk.
Thanks, health pages on here?
It wouldn't have mattered if someone just poked themself and then poked you. No risk.
Thank you. The health pages on here? So even if someone had just poked themselves. I was worried that since it was mangled someone could have lefet it there.
No you can't get HIV from a safety pin. Read the health pages.
