I'm new to the forum.  About 1 week ago I went to a massage parlor where I had unprotected oral sex from the worker but only for a little while. Then she licked my anus for quite a while and then she put a condom on me and had vaginal intercourse for a little while then she finished me off with a handjob. Now I have a very sore throat and experiencing flu like symptoms. Fever and body aches. I am scared to death about the chances of catching HIV or other stds due to this encounter.  Can I get a flu by thinking I'm gonna catch one??  Can I get a sore throat from thinking about the symptoms so much?  Please help!!

Maybe your anxiety is coming from guilt and Shame that you payed for sex. I'm in the same situation and I'm sure your making yourself sick by anxiety. Go to HIV anxiety forum it has good info on many questions including sex workers

Hope this will ease your concern. We have similar situation, I went to a massage parlor several times with unprotected oral and protected vaginal. I got all symptoms after 3 weeks from my last exposure I thought I got HIV because of all the symptoms(fever, rash, night sweat, chill, diarrhea, white tongue) but I was told by the experts here that it was no risk but I still thought I was positive so I tested after 8 weeks the result was Negative.  don't worry your situation is no risk. your symptoms are all due to your stress and anxiety.

You were never under the risk of HIV from the situation described. Unprotected orals sex, hand job and protected vaginal sex,,,, everything falls in No Risk zone.
