kissing -- LIZZY/TEAK please answer

HI there

I would like to know about my chances.

I am a female who got drunk on Saturday and somehow with a razorblend I cut above my lips. It was bleeding pretty heavily. It was around 8pm. Then I went out was kissing with 2 different males. I think none of their lips were bleeding -- well I am pretty sure about it but didnt really check their gum or inner-mouth conditions. I involved deep kissing with both guys but nothing else happened there were no sexual intercourse or what so ever. I am pretty scared as this cut I made on myself was pretty deep and I got it only few hours before I went out.

Do I need HIV testing???

Thank you for your answer.

Lizzy many thanks for your answer.

Lizzy
while i was kissing and in case of the wound reopened by his teeth etc? as it was just right above my lip...still zero risk if this wound was bleeding?

Thank you so much again.

J.

There is no risk to you associated with the exposure you describe. We get many questions about kissing and oral exposure and whether or not the presence of a cold sore, bites to the lip, gum disease or other wounds in or around the mouth changes the answer to the question.  The answer is no.  The data which define the absence of any risk of getting HIV through kissing, deep or otherwise has be generated through studies of thousand and thousands of persons, some of whom had cold cores, cuts, etc.  There is no risk.  DR HOOK / MEDHELP

when we get cuts they start to heal at just about the time they stop bleeding and with that healing process, any risk of introducing HIV also goes to zero.
