My CBC count is Ok ?

I have a sexual inter course some 5 months before. I felt little stomach upset & heart burn for 4-5 days. The doctor checked my CBC count. They are perfectly normal. Shall I go for a specific HIV test ?

neuropathy is a very latent stage of HIV, not initial stage, just get an HIV and all STD test for your sexual health checkup, it takes the same effort as a CBC test.

As you have been told a CBC will not give you your HIV status. If you have had an exposure you need to have an HIV test.

i had a complete work up done(cbc,cmp,syphilis,tsh,b12) 2 months ago because of pain and tingling in my arms. all results came back normal except for a low vitamin d level. I started reading that neuropathy was a sympton of hiv could i still be at risk, ive been in a monogamous relationship for 2 yrs, would an abnormality show up on a cbc by then?

Hmm, according to my doctor, CBC "should" show an abnormal result during ARS.. Thats all the info from a doctor.

If you want to know your status. CBC don't tell you your HIV status.
