thanks - i am all for that....once this damn self-imposed ulcer heals! i wish you all the best.
Congrats man, i was anxiously awaiting your next post. Now sit back have the best tasting beer ever
I am an idiot. and I apologize for wasting your time seeking so much support..for what it is worth...it has been invaluable. the employee at the lab made a mistake and i was confirmed negative today with a 5 month 3 week antibody test and confirmed 5 month 3 week NAAT negative. please keep supporting others like myself....its a beautiful thing what ya'll do.
Dude, i"m in the same boat as you are and trust me sometimes tough love is the best way to go. everyone here could be nice to you but i think the hard line approach works better here for people in this situation.
talk about tough love. i am simply afraid as to why the lab would have called me. i wanted the naat for conclusive results....and i ordered it prior to seeking dr. hooks advice. trust me, i would never have ordered it had i received his advice first. moving on is exactly what i want to do...and i am already seeing a therapist. thanks for the seemingly over the top rudeness in a place i was seeking compassion.
I just read your original post, you had protected sex, WTF are you doing testing out to 5 months... seriously move on
get a life and seek mental help

Get over it. Your exposure was a single, protected exposure. Most commercial sex workers in the US are not HIV infected. You have had multiple negative HIV tests out as far as six months. I can state categorically that you do not have HIV or STD form the exposure you describe. On to your specific questions:
1. The results are conclusive
2. No, your GF's rash (and yours) is not related to STD or HIV. As to what is causing it- I cannot say. This is best addressed by your health care provider. What I am sure of however is that this is not HIV or STD.
3. Yes, you can resume unprotected sex.
I'd call them back and say I'm not going to come in, so you can either tell me now or i'll never find out, Doubt it will work, but if it will relieve your anxiety then it's worth a try. And why are you taking a Naat test, I spoke to a Dr. friend of mine who says they come back Indeterminate alot because they are easy for labs to make mistakes which require you to come in and have them draw new blood
they told me that negatives would be reported over the phone...and only positives and inconclusives would require i come in. i was hoping the naat would be conclusive as i had read that 6 months is conclusive.
You tested negative out to over 5 months, they probably want you to come in to get your negative result again.
I dont know why you would have taken a naat anyway, arent they the pcr rna/dna types that are more known for false positives?
