My story!

Hi Guys!!!

I`ve been following this forum for quite some time now, I guess in search of answers and to get hope. I am a well established man with a beautiful wife that had an insane lapse of judgement about 9 weeks ago. With all the work related stress and the feeling of monotony in my relationship i decided to look for some excitement. So i found this sex worker on the web and decided to give her a visit. She was an older woman, when i got to her place it was quite dirty, she herself appeared well maintained although her mouth smelled and from the beginning she complained of neck pain. Nevertheless she assured me that she was not infected (HIV) and didn´t use any drugs. Cut story short we had protected sex 2 times. This whole scenario didn´t arouse me as much as i thought it would and as a result my **** wasn´t that hard but at the end there was no slippage and the condom looked intact with removal. One thing worries me though, she was very wet and i´m afraid that while taking off the condom some of her secretions got on the head of my ****. Since then my worries kept escalating. Coming home everyday from work to my wife and feeling the guilt and just the thoughts of loosing all i´ve worked so hard for in my life makes me really depressed. I got tested 2 weeks ago but for some reason the tests still didn´t come thru which makes me even more worried. I stoped having intimacy with my wife coz i´m afraid to pass something on to her. She´s asking me all these questions..... I just don´t know what to do.
I keep reading all the comments and it´s seams like it´s almost impossible to catch HIV even by having one off unprotected vaginal sex, especially by a male even when the partner is HIV positive. Why is it then that people have so much confusion bout the transmission all the time and keep asking the same questions. Why is it so hard to acquire this virus. All these facts we get but we´re still worried. Anyway i´m waiting for the result and try to ignore the symptoms of joint pains, muscle weakness, diarrhoea etc.... Just hope that i´ll be fine.

in most states the state lab is backed up from your local drs health depts and other sources out there i would not be so concerned you where protected unless you are not telling us the whole story then you have no worries and i will go ahead and congrat you on the negative result you will be getting

The reason it takes so long means nothing, if you were positive you d know in 2 weeks on average as if you were negative.  It can take longer for a lot of reasons none which determine whether you are positive or negative.  I know there is this thing on the internet that if it takes longer than 2 weeks is because they are doing a Western Blot--thats b/s dont pay attention to that.  It can take longer than 2 weeks depending on where they sent your blood.  BTW you do realize you had no risk in your situation, you wore a condom while you were inside.

Thank You guys,

It means a lot to get ur feedback and support, especially when i feel so down. I never felt like this before so it´s hard to manage this state. I know that i have to be honest with my wife and i´ve always been. Just don´t wanna loose her. Does any of you know why does it take so long to get the result back??? Bout 2 weeks ago i showed up at a clinic, they took the blood and told me wait round 10 days. It´s been pass that and the nurse told me  not to worry. I don´t even know which type of test was it.

Once you took the condom off there is no way even if you did get fluid on the head that it would result in transmission.

Your situation was not a low risk encounter, it was a ZERO risk encounter. As long as the condom stayed covering the head of your penis you have no risk whatsoever regardless of how hard you were or how wet she was. No need for you to worry but if it makes your brain feel better go ahead and wait for your test results.
