No risk for HIV but maybe for the HCV.This happens all the time in salons & barber shops with razors. There has never been a reported case of HIV transmission.
HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
I am not a client . I work ther and the clients blood came on my finger with a cut on my finger then imidiatly as I was cleaning it it cut me with her blood on me. Just wanted to clarify this. Does it make a diference
The chances this woman had HIV are close to zero anyway.
Wouldn't matter if they were positive or not it still wouldn't be an exposure.
You assessment was based on the assumption that she was HIV positive right?
Yes it was & I told you there was no HIV risk but there may have been a risk of the HCV.
May I ask a question.
Have you ever gave an assesment to anyone that he had no risk and turned out that he had and got infected?
No and I've been doing this for a number of years.
Thank you for helping and devoting to your time to educate us
