As you've been told over and over and over, you NEVER had a risk for HIV, which means you never needed a test!  Stop the madness and put this behind you!  If you can't, get some help.

There is nothing more we can say.

Your "stuck" because you tested to begin with. Time to move on, you did not have a risk.

nursegirl6572 we have no idea whats happening with our test results. Could you please assist us with an explanation of what could be the coz of flip flop results. I for one never had sex or done IV drugs but just shared a cigarette with someone who looked suspect now i'm stuck on the testing treadmill.

Then send him a private message.  This forum is not a chat room, and every time you "bump" a thread with your back and forth chatting, someone else's thread gets pushed down the page.

I tested at 4 weeks the first screening test was postive then the confirmation was negative the lady told me to repeat after a week and the same think happened except this time I told them to repeat the test that showed positve and it showed negative then I did a p24 antigen and antibody test at 6 weeks and that was negative.i explained my problem to the guys on this forum and they said I don't have hiv and didn't need testing.

For real. How long did you wait until you had your first test?

You are never postive untill a positive test is confirmed.

So is it possible to test positive at 2 weeks then negative at 9 weeks

You cannot catch HIV in that way. There is no need for testing.

No that is not correct. There are no tests approved to give a conclusive test result earlier than 3 months post exposure.

I surely hope so, because I have never had sex and the assumed exposure was smoking a cigarette with someone who I was later discovered was hiv positive or rather looked sick.

It would mean that the first rapid test at 2 weeks was a false positive,it does happen, but a positive test will be confirmed with a WB.

What is say if you test positive on a rapid test, Then on the same day, a 4th gen DUO is done and is negative. Then you follow up the tests with rapid tests at week 5, week 6, week 7 , through to 9 and the tests are all negative. What could this mean. Does it mean that seroconversion is still in process or could it mean the first test was a false positive?

NO.If you test positive at 2 weeks and it's confirmed positive with a western blot the you will test positive again at 9 weeks. The are other HIV tests that test for the virus itself like the RNA and the DUO which looks for p24 antigen + antibodies.

So can someone test positive say 2 weeks after exposure and then negative at nine weeks after exposure.

Antibodies do not go high and low when you are infected your body will take time to produce antibodies to hiv this is the window period where an hiv antibody test can be negative but u can be positve that's why its said to test at 12 weeks after an exposure that's if u had 1 and when the antibodies are detectable they will always be no matter which hiv test u take.
