HIV Behavioral Risk Factor and Preventive PEP Question

I had unprotected vaginal sex at a strip club on 2/17 with a girl I met there. I climaxed very quickly and promptly pulled out.

There were no other positions involved. I'm a circumcised male who does not engage in unprotected sex except for this one occasion.

I will get tested in a few weeks, but was wondering if prudent get a script for PEP within the next few days?

A one time unprotected vaginal sex encounter is less than 1 percent risk. But is a risk. For that, pep is not usually given. Pep is a pretty hard medication to take and with such low risk, it's reserved for unprotected sex with someone known to have hiv. With that said, you need to test with a 4th generation test at 28 days. I'd expect it to be negative.

It is low risk encounter but not 0% risk .. no need to worry .
Regarding pep it is up to you , some will tell you yes got pep , some will tell you no need .. no fixed rule and usually pep is prescriped in high risk encounter  with know hiv +person .
If you will take pep you will need to wait 6 weeks after last dose of Pep to test Ag/Ab hiv . If only antibody test available so it will be 12 wk.
Let the time to move , try to be busy all the time .
