Negative 4gen at 16 and 27 days, symptoms persist
Had receptive anal with a guy of unknown status. At 16 days sore throat started, swollen lymphnodes the following week. Sore throat has now lasted 3 weeks. Should i put any confidence in my negative tests or was it too soon to tell?

Guidelines say you should have waited for 28 so either retest or you have to make a personal decision whether you think you were close enough.
You interact with others who cough on your lips and door knobs so sore throat is to be expected at any time - so symptoms aren't a useful diagnostic tool.

Thanks for your response, im going to take another 4gen this week. I also had a pcr rna done at 19days which was negative, but the test explicitly stated it isnt meant to be used for diagnostic purposes
Since the first test is pretty much proving you are safe, I would wait for 6 weeks if you are doing a second test. Some docs that we don't use recommend 6 weeks, so if you wait until then you won't have any more questions.
