If you get an HIV test it's checking do the viral load, perhaps the viral load was to low to be recognizable because the test was taken with in a shot period of time from the time with your encounter. Usually you'd wait 3 months to get tested because that's when viral load may be first detectable
Thanks, I've been reading and researching all over the place. It's possible I may have a false positive test.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. Wait 3 months and test again. When I received these results from the doctor, she mentioned its right on the border line either negative or positive. But based on the test value being 01 isn't that considered a negative? I know anything above 1 is positive.
Below 1 percent it's considered negative. My test results do not state either, "non reactive" or "reactive"
I'm assuming the western bolt test is being done for more analysis
Yes but you didn't--it was negative--what was your exposure anyway?
My exposure was oral sex without a condom, that was about a year ago. Also one time unprotected sex with a partner.
Could this test result interfere with my most recent infection and medication?
3 months from any unprotected vaginal or anal sex is conclusive. No medications do not interfere with results.
I went to the Clinic and got tested with one of those rapid hiv test that take 20 minutes. I took two tests and one came out positive showing a faint slight line beside T and C is also visible.
I took a second test right after and it came out negative. Now I am really scared what could this really mean. Clinic drew blood from me to do further testing in the lab. Now I have two blood work test results I'm waiting for. I believe this is my moment to find out the truth.
