Thank you so much for your response
Pep is given for people who are known to have unprotected sex with people who are confirmed hiv positive.
For a condom break pep is not recommended.
Anyways pep should be initaited within 72 hours after the exposure.
It should be continued for 28 days and you should take a test at 12 weeks after the completion of pep for a conclusive result.
The drugs have side effect!
I would not reccomend pep for you, anyways its your choice.
USE CONDOMS for penetrative sex and you will remain hiv negative!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!
Thank you Raj, but he was inside me for maybe 30 seconds to a minute and somewhere in that time it broke before he bulled out. It was a complete break. he was not close to ejaculating. The fact that he did not ejaculate and claims he is negative and mainly has sexual encounters with females except for me (again, going by his word) should suggest its a risk, but not a high rise and I should not be seeking PEP?
A broken condom is a risk for hiv
You should get a test at 6weeks and following it at 12 weeks using the simple
Antibody test.
Pep is usually recommended for high risk activities and i dont think you need a pep for an condom broke.
