Oral Sex and HIV

Hi, i received an unwelcome text about a month ago stating that a male i had perforemed oral sex on 3-4 years ago had died from AIDS. I have no reason not to belive this.
Looking back i think i must have performed oral sex about 5-6 times on him although he never did ejeculate in my mouth i do remember a small amount of pre-cum which i know contains the virus. My dental hygiene is generally good although i do get cracked and sore lips during the winter and on the occasion an ulcer especially if i have eaten something too hot.
I have been beside myself for the last month especially as i am a married man and the thought of passing HIV onto my partner is unberable.
Would you recommend i go for a test?
I notice that this website states there is little or no risk but all the UK medical authorities and charities state there is a risk and one (BUPA) states that 3% of male to male transmissionms are through oral sex.
Any advice would be welcome.

Do you know or have heard of any cases where HIV has been transmitted through giving oral sex??.

How bad would oral hygiene have to be for this to happen??

Thanks for your quick response. I have looked at the forum and it appears that the doctor's are stating that there is a chance of 1 in 2500 to 1 in 10000. This conflicts with stats produced by the medical authorities in the UK. Who is right; te UK medical authorities or the Doctor's on line at Med Help????
