Hi, I am 33 year old male and I had protected vaginal sex with CSW twice (no oral sex or kissing). Once on 30th march and then on 4th may (35 days apart). By 10th may I developed tonsils which is still bothering me 19 days later. I got worried and got tested on 15th and 50th day after exposure i.e. on 19th may. HIV 1 and HIV 2 antibody, HSV, HCV, Chlamydia, gonorrhea test came out negative. But I still was worried as the test only ruled out (95%) my first encounter with CSW and not the second encounter. So six days later on 21st day of second encounter I took p24 antigen test only and it came back negative. I want to know how accurate is p24 antigen test on day 21 (In percentage terms). I know my risk is low as I had protected sex but I have been very worried for past 3 weeks. I had mildly swollen glands in my throat but after examining them the doctor told me that they are not lymph nodes. Today, I was feeling week and I have been experiencing a mild burning sensation in my throat and there is redness in tonsils. I have not had fever up till now. I was so afraid that I could not sleep last night. Please help.
