HIV risk. Scared.

I am a well educated female and I ALWAYS use condoms. However a week ago I do not know what happened. I had a few too much to drink and ended up going home with the biggest player in the bar.
We had sex in a pool for about 5 minutes then went up to his room. He was pretty drunk (and pretty floppy if you know what I mean) and he did not ejaculate.
He told me 3 days later that he woke up with a sore on his penis. He said it wasn't there when we had sex but I don't know I can't trust him. It definitly was not from me though.
He also told me he tested negative for HIV 1 year ago, but has had unprotected sex with about 7-8 female over the last year.  He is going to get tested again this week so I'll keep you all posted.
I am severely freaking out right now. I am sure he probably has HIV. If he is positive what do you think the chances are that it was passed on to me? It's all I can thing about I have been not able to eat or sleep over the past week. I don't think I can wait 3 months for my own diagnosis.
I am also pretty sure he gave me herpes but it's only been a week, and no sores yet. God I hate this waiting game. I am so scared.
Please, I need your support.

Was your sex unprotected? I am assuming it was since it was in a pool. Being in a pool significantly lowers your risk of HIV transmission (IF he was positive). A one-time exposure is about a 1 in 1,000 chance of transmission. It is not likely at all to occur with just a one time exposure, but it can happen. Your overall risk was relatively low, especially since he did not ejaculate in you, but the risk is still there. Try to remain calm. The only thing you can do is get a test at 3 months post exposure. However, the doctors on the expert forum here both agree that a negative DUO test (tests for the presence of both antibodies and HIV itself) is "proof positive" that you were not infected. Get a DUO test at the 1 month mark. If it is negative, be confident that your conclusive test result at 3 months will also be negative. I wish you the best of luck. Remember to always use condoms and protect yourself!

You don't need ejaculation to transmit HIV.

Yes it was unprotected :(
I know there is just as much risk in a pool. I am just wondering mostly because he did not ejaculate.
I will wait out the 3 months and get the test but I am just really scared.

There have been hundreds of kids concived in pools and unprotected sex can lead to HIV infection. As for Duo tests they are conclusive at 3 months post exposure for a negative test result.

A test result that is nonreactive does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2. Nonreactive results in this assay for individuals with prior exposure to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 may be due to antigen and antibody levels that are below the limit of detection of this assay.
