Pls. help - what are the chances?

Dear Dr. HH, Teak, forum experts:

My risk : Deep kissing csw in Thailand

1 week later (7 days), developed herpes shingles like sores like a 2.5 inch band under my left chest.  confirmed by doc. not to be herpes as it cleared up with use of topical propaderm ointment (cortisteroid 0.025%) within 2 days of use.
The rash cleared and then at day 14, i developed a lot of itching on my right calf and left thigh, which after being itched turned into a big welt / sore. For this i was once again given a cortisteroid and some allegra 120mg for 1 month 2x per day. It cleared up in 3-days after using the doctors given prescription.

Subsequently at 12 days post exposure, i had persistent diarrehea, but this cleared up after taking one anti diarrheal pill after 4-5 continuous watery stools.  my stools have remained soft and ribbony for the entire 20 days. On day 16, once again i developed the same kind of diarrhea 3-4x, but this too cleared up by the same evening after taking a furuxone tablet. Since this diarrehea does not persist beyond a few stools, i am assuming it can be due to severe anxiety and also due to what i ate - pasta salad with mayo and coffee, which probably did not suit my stomach. the others whom ate this same meal were perfectly fine. But 10 mins after i ate, my stomach started making sounds and i had to run to the bathroom.

I have been getting hot flashes and also have developed some mouth ulcers.

I have had no fevers, only hot flashes which is likely due to my panic and ocd (which i am taking 10mg Lexapro, escilatopram oxalate).  Also, i had a white tongue which did smell, so i checked and got an oral swab done for oral candida and the results showed clear, and no candida.

The doctor checked my lymph nodes as i have fleeting pains in my groin, armpit, elbows and behind my knees, but he said that the nodes are normal and being the pea like size is not unusual.

Tests so far - I took a 4th generation elisa at day 25 post exposure. the results were negative.  I also too a cbc and my numbers were normal.

The doctor has called me back for a test at 8 weeks which he said should be pretty much definitive, but i will likely take a test at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and then 13 weeks.

I need your help.  My anxiety is killing me. I am unable to concentrate as I am getting a symptom every week - the 2.5 inch sun burn like band rash under my left chest, then urticaria like welts and severe itching on them a week later, and then 2 random days of severe diarrehea, which persists for one day, then clears up on its own - but my stools still remain soft and digestion seems off as the stools aren't consistent and solid.  perhaps my digestion has gone for a toss with all this worry.

Please answer my questions:

1. What do you make of these symptoms?
2. What are the risks with deep kissing, saliva exchange. Perhaps she may have bitten or sucked, but there was no blood exchange as there was no taste of blood. The kissing was brief 2-3 minutes.
3. What if this csw was in her window period, would she not be more infectious? i do have a habit of chewing and biting on my gums, but there were no big sores or bleeding nor any large bleeding ulcers.
4. Can't saliva be absorbed into mucous membranes of the mouth?

Pls. help. The last i used this site i paid for an answer, but this time i cannot find this feature. if its available, i'd like to pay and have an answer to my questions and case reviewed.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Kumar, tested negative at 42 days or 6 weeks via 4th generation tests (both ab/ag tests). Is this fairly predictive and correct and can i consider this conclusive.

Is a 4th generation test at 26 test fairly reliable. in the U.K. and in France they say 28 days + and it is almost conclusive.  Conclusive being closer to 6 weeks and complete at 3 months, by more conservative but published standards.

subtype E does not exist..its called CRF..its nt proven whether a particular subtype transmits more easily than another subtype..
but none of it transmits through kissing..
you need to forget about this and MOVE ON..
you DONT have hiv

Does it matter whether its SUB type E. Isn't this subtype more easily transmitted, or is that via anal and heterosexual contact only?

Thanks Kumar. Ok, i was tested at day 26 via a 4th gen test, according to the doc. He said for easing my fears, lets test again at week 8, which by him, should be more towards conclusive. I know kissing is very low risk, but i can't get the symptoms out of my head - the rash at 1 week, the diarrehea that comes and goes and the occasional mouth ulcers.
I know my stress and anxiety has a lot to do with this, and i also know that stress is like poison for the body and leads to all sorts of bad in the body, but then again, being rational when you're mind is spinning is not so easy.  But i do hear what you are saying. You're Indian I see - where from?

What is the difference between a 4th generation test and a DUO test. Are they the same thing?

yes, all that was involved was deep kissing and a massage.
not sure if  have been vaccinated for hep b but  assume yes as i have taken all immunizations before immigrating to japan. but i will check up and speak to the doc. during my next visit to the GP.

Sorry about too much information but are these symptoms consistent with acute infection?

How accurate is a 4th generation elisa at 25 days post exposure. I know a test at 6 weeks and then 3 months is necessary and is conclusive, however, how accurate is a 25 day 4th generation elisa test? Test result was negative.
