help

dear doc HHH,
Recently i ended with a 10 month long relationshp with my ex-gf. I am
a virgin and we never had intercourse. However, around may 20th, we
did make out once, during which I happened to kiss her below the belt.
not near the vaginal orifice, but somwhere near/above the clit i suppose.
However, she was standing and i was kneeling so you can figure out
whre exactly it could hav been. I kissed here there only once..for
about say 3 seconds, and i am not sure whether she was wet at that
part. but taking the worst case scenario, if she was. She had told me
that she was a virgin too. However, she also told me of a month long
relationship she had been when she was 14 in schoo with a boy of the same age. When i asked her
about he physical status, she got disgusted and we have been in very
bad terms since. At the end of the 7th week after this encounter, i
fell ill with a mild fever for three days and recovered. At the nd of
around the 9th week, i had a bad soar throat, which lasted for a week
i suppose. howver. i think that was because a bad chill i caught due
to exposure. I accidently happened to have ntered a cold ac room
dirctly after a long walk in the hot july sun in delhi. since then
have been keeping fine, but for  the anxiety bit. Can you please
suggest if i need testing for hiv? and for my gf..is it possible to
appear pefectly nomal after 5 1/2 years of infection?

i will be extremely extremely extremely grateful to you for your help.

Thanks Teak and nursegirl.

I had one last question. Is it possible to contract hiv incase my kiss happened to have been in contact with a surface which in turn happened to have been in contact with my fingers somewhat a little wet with the vaginal secretions? I had put my fingers in only once...and probably not for more than 2-3 seconds and surely not a long way up. But i dont remember if they rubbed with the potion i had kissed.

Thank you.

Regards.

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV. Not even close.
