Rapid hiv test worried

Hi, I recently took a 4th gen rapid hit test in a sexual health clinic and I was told I would be called back in after 20 - 30 minutes. The doctor called me back in after almost one hour to read the results with me and thankfully it was non reactive and advised me that I was negative but I am just worried that he read the result too late and outside of the recommended 20 - 30 minute window. Would a rapid test change from positive to negative after an hour or am I just being ocd and can accept the negative result given to me after one hour after taking the test.

No it does not change. Trust the doctor (and believe what he said to you) who will never misguide you. Delay in results can be possible due to many reasons, like preoccupation of the analyst, testing apparatus and/or queuing of the samples due to number of samples in that particular time.
