Rapid vs Elisa

Is a rapid considered a Elisa? Also I was tested with rapid blood sample from finger at 6 and 13 weeks, and OraQuick at just over 24 weeks (negative). Now I have read I should of tested by Elisa at 6 months. Is this correct? Or are my tests conclusive at 6 months with the rapid OraQuick? Thanks

Looks like you got lot of misinformation together. Firstly, the window period is 3 months and not 6. Secondly, you need a test at the 3rd month with an antibody test. Could be ELISA, CMIA, ELFA etc. As long as it is an antibody test it works. ELISA is just the technology of the test used to detect antibody. However, it's the most conventional technology and widely used. Thirdly, oraquick is an antibody test and uses the ELISA technology.
