Is there any chance that a non-infected person can get infected by taking the OraQuick oral swab in-home test? I took the test yesterday and the result was Negative. I know that the test solution is a buffer solution which is harmless. While OraQuick claims that none of the test apparatus contains live HIV virus, I read online that the white test strip which is there inside the test stick (the device to be put inside the mouth) contains HIV antigens on it. What are the chances that a person can get infected through the test stick (swab)?
I am really scared and it would be great if someone could clear this doubt.
