Safe sex with POS

My partner is HIV positive and we live far from each other. Whenever I visit him I take Prep 10 days prior and untill 30 days after I leave the city (exposure). Everytime I use condom while sex and ensure it doesn't get break/ tear.
My partner is on ART treatment since October 2022 and takes medicine religiously everyday at the same time. However, recently he is getting unwell (getting cold and cough very frequently then he usually gets in past) inspite of him maintaining healthy diet and taking precautions on not to consume anything cold. I have two questions to ask.

What might be the cause of him getting unwell. Is this common for patients on ART treatment?

Is it fine to deep kiss and have protected sex while he is having cough?

Thank you in advance

Wearing condoms and taking PrEP offer you the absolute best protection from getting HIV. If your partner is on ART, he should be having routine screenings to check his viral load. A low viral load also reduces the risk of HIV transmission in the event that a condom does break.

Kissing is NEVER a risk for HIV.

Your partner should talk to his doctor about his medical symptoms. The cause of medical symptoms in an HIV-positive individual is not an issue that can or should be resolved through online forums. It isn't possible for anyone here to guess the reason.

I have advised him to see the his Doc, Thank you so much for your help CurfewX
You said he "cough very frequently then he usually gets in past".
A person can get a different effect from a flu or cold every time. There are different viruses each year, so see doc as advised because you are wasting your time trying to measure the effects and compare them each year. As an example of different effects, some people died from flu this year, but they obviously didn't die the previous year when they got it.
