Seriously worried about these symptoms

I am very worried. I have slept with 3 people since September and wore a condom with 2 of them and 1 I unfortunately did not. I have had a rash which occurred only after i showered, at least that's when i noticed it. It would burn when I was in the shower and then show up on my stomach area with red blotchiness. I have also been really fatigued for the passed 5 or 6 weeks. I had an hiv test done semi recently, but I feel the test was done too close to my encounters. I really need some help because I'm feeling every symptom right now. I also just developed a fever of 99.2 and could simply be sickness, but all the same, I am freaking out. I had the rash for maybe about 1 or 2 weeks then had 1 swollen gland in the left side of my neck that lasted only a couple of days too. It is mid January now and the last person I am more worried about I haven't been with since the beginning of November.

a test at 6-8 weeks post exposure is a very good indication of one's status and highly unlikely to change at that point.  testing at 3 months will be totally conclusive.

symptoms never diagnose hiv...only a test at the appropriate time will do that

My test was done probably only around 4 to 6 weeks after and you're definitely right about the symptoms, but this rash has me more concerned that it is HIV than anything.

ars symptoms come at 2-4 weeks post exposure.  they come at once, not one after another.

The girl I slept with I know too and I'm more than comfortable with her other than just sleeping with her (joke) but she agreed to easing my anxiety that she would go get tested. I always worry too much, but this rash, like I said, has bothered me more than anything, when I look at the percentages, fever is 80-90%, tiredness is something close to that and rash 70-90%. I know it could be from other things, but the way the rash is described, I felt was close to what I had, although mine only seems to show after a shower. Do you work in this field Lizzie?

my son has hiv

your rash is not indicative of ars.
testing is the only way to know your status.

I actually go so much, that the testing place won't test me anymore. I am also in therapy for this kind of ocd or w/e  you would call it, so all I can do right now is wait for my friend to go in and get tested herself.

Are you open to questions about your son's status? I would understand if you were not comfortable?

No it's not. More out of my own interest to be honest. I don't mean any offense if that's what I've done to you.

Well Lizzie, because I've been worried about it since the age of 8 (not a joke) I've actually thought about doing something in the field. I'm at the very beginning stages of training to be an RN, but this would be a side thing out of interest. I just steered away from Psychology, but got into lots of different kinds of research and this being one. I was wondering what your son's orientation was, if it is not TOO personal, which I feel is borderline and if he is a drug user. I am very sorry to hear that he has to live with this too btw.

Unprotected penetrative vaginal sex from a prostitute back in the late 80's.He tested positive around 3 weeks after the incident and his only symptoms were very high fevers and night sweats, never on meds.He is doing very well these days and was recently married.

Did your friend have any other known/documented STD? I hear the risk is around 1/1000 for unprotective sex, even without a condom and the risk being less for Males.

Hello Teak! I appreciate it actually, but the type of Psychology I wanted to go into, to be honest, I got a little burned out on. What were your symptoms initially? Did you have symptoms before you even got tested?

Never had any symptoms. The test was given by doctor to do testing research and he wanted to see how the test results look like when they come back from the lab.

Thanks Teak. Can I ask your sexual orientation too and possible mode of contraction. Again like I said for Lizzie, only if you're comfortable

I really love your openness. I think it's great when people can talk about this kind of stuff, which isn't always easy. That looks like a great website. So you really had no symptoms... rash...nothing like that?

Never have had symptoms of HIV. Never need to go on medication for 21 years either.

Symptoms or the lack of will never tell you your status. The only way to know your status is by testing and the only way to that that you have had ARS is AFTER you test positive and it has been confirmed.
