Small cut in finger
Firts of all, I want to excuse me for my poor english.I don't speak and write it very well.
I'm really worried about a small cut in my finger which I put into a vagina of a prostitute during three ou four minutes 15 days ago. I don't remember any accident or cut. I did not see any blood in my finger before or after the risk situation. Indeed, this small pieces of skin in my finger are very usual.
I'm really preocupied. Informations in internet about the chances of contagios are confused.
Please, do you know when can I get a quick test. There is one in my town called "Uni Golden". I heard that I have to wait 30 days after the risk situation untill test myself. Is it correct? And if I do it after 20 days the chances of a false negative increase considerably?
I asked a doctor to prescript me an exame called PCR Quantitative for HIV. He did it. But I did not go to a laboraoty yet to test because I read that the risks of a false positive in this test is high. What do I have to do? I don't know if I wait the right time to do the quick test or if I do the PCR Quantitative for HIV. Please, help me.

If you decide to test it will be purely for peace of mind not because you had a risk. You can test at 6 weeks and then again at 13 weeks. 13 weeks is said to be conclusive by the CDC but I know that the docs on here say 8 weeks.
You seriously do not need to test though, not one person has ever contracted HIV through fingering, you will not be the first. It just doesn't happen.

The only way to stop stressing and start sleeping well again is if you except the facts and they are that you never had a risk from fingering.Move on with your life and it,s time to stop worrying.
I heard that the quick test called Unigolden has an accuracy around 98 or 99% after 30 days after de exposure to the risk. But anyone knows the accuracy after 21 days? It reduzes a lot?

I thank you for the answer. The doctor just did the prespcription for test because I insisted. He told me that what I did was something of low risk.
But I'm getting crazy. Two days ago i felt the symptoms of a weak flu. I don't know if it has conection with the fact that I did not sleep well since the risk situation. I take vitamins and I fell better today. I did not have cold neither other symptoms.

You never had a risk from fingering and your cut would have healed over anyway.You do not require any hiv testing for this incident because you can,t contract hiv that way.Your safe and your doctor should have told you that you never had a risk instead of arranging for you to have a test.You can stop worrying now.
