GUM clinic advice

I was tested today (a week after possible exposure) and was told by the GUM clinic advisor that I need to retest. I am a little worried considering the internet and some sites are saying different from what I was told. I had unprotected oral sex with a female sex worker. She performed fellacio on me. I was tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea, both came back negative. My concerns are do I need to test again since its only been 6 days to be exact since the incident. I was told I need to test again for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV.

What is the recommended length of time that one should wait to get tested since possible exposure?
Is it possible that if i test again, I might test positive for chlamydia and gonorrhea?
Also, the advisor at the GUM clinic said I must retest again at 3 months for HIV since I had unprotected oral sex with a high risk person...talk about being scared!!! I said some sites say that testing for HIV from oral sex is not necessary. She disagreed and said I must test again at 3 months and test for other std's again.

Could you please give me your expert advice so I know exactly what I need to go

Tests in the UK are provided by the NHS and dont cost us anything. This year and last year I ran two marathons for cancer research. Next year I will run another two marathons but this time for HIV. I would like to do something to for an HIV organisation.

Nothing that you describe puts you in to risk of contracting HIV. You don't need an HIV test for this incidence. For other STIs please post in the appropriate forum.

HIV is transmitted through the practice of unprotected anal/vaginal sex and the sharing of needles, you did not engage in this so therefore no HIV risk. There is no need to retest no matter how 'high risk' the individual is, my advice to you is to test for other STDs but not for HIV, but your results as of present are indicative of good things, so relax, and let us know how you get on!
