ok thank you Teak..i will move on with my 13 week TriDot negative
Tridot is an ELISA test that doesn't need a machine to obtain it's results just like all other Rapid antibody tests. They are ELISA tests.
ok teak thank you very much..
last question...
the lab person told me TriDot is a rapid test and i got result within 30 mins...and it is different from ELISA as i need to wait for 1-2 days to get my result incase he did a ELISA..
' Tridot is an ELISA test' ....what do u mean by this?
Tridot is an ELISA test and CRFs are in HIV type 1 Group M and can be detected by ELISA tests.
i would appreciate your input teak..the article says that tridot MAY NOT detect the subtypes which are not common in that region..
could this be true..
i tested negative using TriDot at 13 weeks with condom break vaginal exposure
thank you for your response..yes i know that subtype crf a/e is of hiv-1
but this is what i read about the tridot test...http://www.ehow.com/about_5130887_tridot-hiv-screening-test-procedures.html
Locations Used
# Among HIV-1 antibodies, the TriDot test detects HIV-1 subtype C, the world's most common subtype and most common subtype in India, Africa, and China, and HIV-1 subtype O, which traces back to West Central Africa. For this reason, the TriDot test is most common in India and Africa, and MAY NOT DETECT other HIV-1 subtypes that are found in other parts of the world
can Teak comment on this please...this article says rapid tests are very good to detect the subtypes which are present in their region only..
Thank You very much
tridot method in india detects both hiv-1 and hiv-2..and yes it is a 2nd generation test
anyone? your knowledge whether hiv tridot detect crf a/e would be appreaciated
