Thoughts?

Hi,
I hope this is a foolish question.
2 weeks ago I was at a Strip Club, I did not have any sexual intercourse or relations with a stripper. However, there is a possibility that I may have suffered a minor cut on my neck during a private show (from a slight scratch from her shoe in a manoeuvre) and I was concerned she ma have touched it with her hand (which she would have touched herself with)

I understand that this sounds very irrational.

Anyway, a couple of days ago I have had some mouth sore/blister/lump/sore sensations behind my front teeth. While I would think that perhaps it is related to burning my mouth through hot food I have a slight concern that this could be ARS related? Would that be credible?

Thanks

You did not have any risk.  Even IF the stripper had vaginal secretions on her hand and touched your scratch, HIV cannot infect that way for a few reasons.

One, the virus does not remain active outside of the body, and two, the virus would have to make it to the bloodstream to allow for infection, which would not happen with a superficial scratch or cut.  The skin is comprised of many protective layers, so the virus would not have a way to reach the bloodstream.

Put this worry behind you, it was not a risk.
