Hello everyone, just a general question, excuse me if I've posted in the wrong area.  I wanted to know, how long, if one is infected with the HIV virus does it take to show up in a test?  I had sex (protected) with a female and 1 year later took a test which showed negative.

My other question is, I know this varries from person to person but how long has it take for HIV related symptoms to show up once one has been tested positve, any input would be appreciated.

Best to everyone out there.

Thanks, Alex.

U have no HIV...being tested negative after 3 months means that you are not sick...you were tested a year later so you are fine..
Sometimes symptoms might not show up for really long time...so there is really no specyfic period after infection for symptoms to occur.
