Yes lol gushing blood is a lot lot of blood. You are not stupid at all. Try and relax. I am off to bed in 10 mins.
Alright and thank you, one more thing though earlier you mentioned about gushing blood from your mouth, that means a lot of blood right. Sorry for my stupidity.
Well the only doctor response you'll get here is if you pay a $15.00 charge at "ask the experts" forum. They will give you an answer. Trust your doctor. People on this community forum are knowledgeable also.
You know the moment you said that I felt a lot better about it. Do you think it is a good thing to to listen to what the docs on this website say.
Well you said the magic word -Doctor he is the one trained in the medical field and thats who you should trust not a web site. Its all about what will make you feel comfortable about this some people need to test and other say ok I don't need to test.
Well I have heard that in saliva there is rather no HIV or very little but not enough for infection. As for gushing you mean a lot of blood right. And its helped a little but ive had plenty of people tell me i probably wouldn't need testing including people on this forum and my doctor who I told what happened and he said it was very unlike and I probably wouldn't need to test. And I live in the USA.
Ok you know that saliva inhibits HIV right? She would have to be gushing blood from her mouth to give you a very low risk. Now if you are worried you can test to ease your mind and understand how HIV testing works in your part of the country. Never rely on rumors about a partners sexual history. If in doubt wrap it up for oral, vaginal and anal sex. There are flavored condoms out there. Me I tested at 88 days and tested negative if I did not test I would still be worried about it now I know my status. Hope this helps

Well how long ago was it?
Well this is kind of off topic but my situation is that the only time I have ever had any kind of sex act was receiving unprotected oral once from a female and I am male. I don't know if she had HIV or not but based on what I have heard on her sexual history she may have it but I don't know for sure(I only met this girl once). I don't know if there was any blood in her mouth but I never saw any on my penis. Do you guys think I should get tested cause I have been really worried lately about this possible exposure and I am getting really depressed and upset so please give me some advice on what I should do.
Right the cdc web site says that its a theoretical risk the person who getting the oral sex but if a person has blood or an STI of the mouth can up that risk this is what I read.
I always thought on here it was a theoretical risk only though since there have been no cases of anybody getting hiv from receiving oral sex.
I wouldn`t say it was a theoretical risk i`d say it was a risk albeit an extremely low risk. As for blood, well, the only way would be for the blood to infect you would be through the opening of your penis and down your urethra (if there was any blood) and even that seems unlikely. But as the the previous poster says, blood should be avoided.
Insertive oral sex is generally considered no risk because saliva is not an infectious agent. Performing oral sex, however, is debatable. Some say yes its possible, others say no its not. Research the studies and come to your own conclusion on what you feel is acceptable risk for you. However, I would state that any visible blood in the mouth of your partner should be avoided, particularly in with HIV positive partners. I cannot quantify how much blood would be required to infect you.
