Very worried, Please Help!

Hi everyone. First of all let me tell you guys that i am a freak when it comes to my health. I worry about it constantly.  So alot of this worry may be due to anxiety? I also was an IV drug user for about a year then went to rehab when 6 months later they required i take an HIV/HEP C test. Both came out negative. By the grace of God, I have now been clean for over 2 years.  Since then i had one casual sexual encounter with a female that I knew had used IV drugs in the past. I have no reason to believe she is HIV+, just the possibility she may have gotten it from using needles. The first half of the sex was protected. I then preceded to take off the condom and continued, unprotected, for about 10-15 mins.  It was purely vaginal. I live in a pretty clean suberb in Southern California. Should i be this worried about possibly contracting HIV? Thanks for your help and advice. By the way, I am 21 and she is 20...if that makes any difference.

I think it's generally frowned upon when people make multiple threads and repeat themselves. Sorry, just thought I'd let you know.

I'm no expert on the HIV, I've only really started getting interested in it recently after a 'no risk' situation. I do, however, know that you put yourself at risk by having unprotected sex with someone who has used intravenous drugs in the past. I think those on the forum would recommend you take the test at 3 months. You could also talk to this girl and ask if she has been tested. If not, encourage (but not pressure) her to test as it's in her best interest.

Congratulations on being clean for over 2 years.

Yes. Age doesn't make a difference. Test at 3 months to obtain your conclusive negative test result. Next time leave the condom ON.
