What a day

12 weeks I made it thanks for all your help. Picked up my 12 weeks neg today HIV 1&2 P24 test done and dusted. But this is where I asked the doctor if it was conclusive and he said I still have to test out to 6 months I have not had PEP or any thing like that. I told him in australia it was 12 weeks now and he said he would look into it. I know this forum says 12 weeks who should I trust. melbourne sexual health clinic say 6 weeks and Brisbane and sydney say 12 weeks??????

Because that doctor is an idiot and doesn,t know anything about hiv.Our expert doctors here on medhelp say that NO ONE needs to test out to 6 months with todays modern tests avaliable. 6 months is a thing of the past and thats where it belongs.Your 110% negative, take it to the pub.

But when my doctor started talking about still testing out to six months I was like wholly ****. he said he was going to check though after i told him about the information I had got from some australian SHC. It is conclusive, you do not need test at 6 months.  Definitley not.  6 months is outdated and an old school way of thinking.

Congratulations you are 100% HIV negative.
