Help to put my mind at ease

I am a 27 yr old white female who is driving herself nuts on the Internet. It all started when I began investigating why I have pins and needle sensations in my hands and feet a lot. It seems to come out of no where and happens often. So while googling, I found that this was a symptom of HIV/AIDS. I then thought back to my sexual history and remebered one time when I had sex without a condom. He did not ejaculate inside of me, but do know there is a risk with precum. Now I am driving myself crazy thinking I have every symptom of HIV. I have developed IBS since that encounter and have developed bad sinuses. I also have been unusually tired this winter season. I am freaking out and know I need to get a test, but hoping that mind can be put at ease here. I have been to the gynocologist and everything has been normal, but not sure if my general doctor automatically screens for HIV or if I have to ask. Please let me know if you have any answers for me.

Mainly, because most people who tested HIV positive have had multiple exposures to HIV with several partners. The more unprotected exposures and the more partners you've changed, the higher the risk is.

HIV has no specific symptoms. Quit searching Google for symptoms, you're wasting your time and energy.

It is unlikely that you became infected with HIV from a single exposure of unprotected vaginal sex, but according to the general guidelines, every unprotected vaginal/anal sexual intercourse with a person of unknown status requires testing.

Only an HIV antibody test at 3 months post exposure will give you a conclusive result. Test now if it's already been 3 months since your unprotected vaginal sex.

The odds are in your favor.
