A chalazion, also known as a meibomian cyst, is a common condition affecting the eyelid. The fluid-filled swelling is usually felt as a small lump and can occasionally become infected. It is caused by blockage of a gland in the eyelid. I have NEVER heard it referred to as a "wound," nor have I EVER heard of it in relation to HIV. If you actually DID get blood in your eye and your chalazion was draining at the EXACT SAME TIME, please speak to an ophthalmologist.
