HIV positive maybe? not sure

i am a 19 yr old male who had vaginal intercourse with a 18 year old woman 6 months ago. recently i've had food poisoning last sunday and thought everything was better a week later. However, a week had passed and i had came down with flu-like symptoms (fever, night sweats, body pain, exhaustion). also, i've had a discoloring of skin on my stomach area (although i have been diagnosed with a recent case of minor eczema. she has been tested before for hiv and the results came back negative, but her mother has been diagnosed with hiv for over 20 years and i'm still kind of worried. i loved her enough to trust her and didn't use a condom and felt fine for the next few months until now. i've looked up the possible symptoms for hiv and discovered thaar flu-like symptoms are a part of it. i am now terrified if i have it or not. i am going to get tested next week for it but for now i just need to know from you if it is possible that i may have it

Chances are that she is indeed not infected with HIV. It is always good to trust your partner, but it's never worth taking a risk for your health and nor protecting yourself unless you know for a FACT that your partner is negative and will remain faithful to you and stay in a monogamous relationship.

You stated you are going to get tested next week. This result will be final and conclusive of your status. It's very unlikely you contracted HIV from a one-time vaginal exposure (IF she even has it) but you need to test to be certain. I wish you the very best of luck.
