concerned

When i was at a bar i noticed a small amount of blood on the rim of the glass of cider i was drinking from, i would not be concerned normally but my esophagus is sore and i am concerned that this may have put me at risk from hiv when drinking the cider if i swallowed the blood aswell and also  i have abcess in my mouth which bleeds sometimes many thanks, froggi

Even if the bartender has HIV and was newly diagnosed. You weren't at risk.

what is your view about the bleeding abcess and the blood on the glass because it was only seconds after i received the glass that i swallowed some of the cider with the small amount of blood on it. many thanks froggi

I agree with Leedsio, that's just plain gross. However, I also agree with Teak, and further amplify his comments with my own. No matter how gross it is, it is not a risk for HIV, sore esophagus or not. No risk, none at all, so worry no more!

This person should be observing proper health and safety rules not saying you can get HIV from this by the way as I have no idea if you can or not.
