Unprotected oral sex is where the STD came in not from protected anal sex.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Including HIV Infection, Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.
thanks. alot..I have an std question also but ill post it where it belongs
Hello. Yes, what you describe is certainly possible. STD's are easier to catch than HIV, so even with a condom you can get some of them. However you can not get HIV if you used a condom.
You can't get HIV if you use a condom. HIV can't just seep through the latex and infect you. There a couple STDs you can get even with a condom, such as syphilis or genital warts, and this is because they are spread by skin to skin contact. HIV is spread by blood to blood contact and can only be transmitted inside its host. As long as vaginal/anal sex is protected, you can't get HIV. HIV also can't be spread by oral sex, but some other STDs can. No HIV risk!
