Dear folks,
Sorry for the long writeup, but I would sincerely appreciate if someone could address my concerns, which have made me very stressful and anxious. Below, I mention a chronology of what has transpired, as well as my risks and symptoms so far.
a) Oct ’05 had a low risk encounter with unknown partner (where my precum got exposed to her vagina and i did not have any other penentration; and a handjob with lotion). I got tested at the six week interval and was fine. No symptoms until April ’06 when I came down with a severe sore throat and got treated for tonsillitis. No other symptoms after that.
b) Call it stupid or what, again had very low risk encounters (at least that’s what I think) in Aug ’06 and Dec ’06. In each encounter, I sucked the breasts of the girls and a hand job with lotion; in one case the girl had a two year old baby, so not sure if she was milking or not. I however do not recall seeing any visible milk or blood in either of them.
c) Sudden symptoms of white tongue (with real bitter metallic taste) between May ‘07 and Aug ‘07 of last year. The first doctor although did not suspect thrush based on what he saw, but still put me on some anti fungal medications. It did not subside. A few days later, I went for a different doctor, where they prescribed a different set of antifungal medications, again to no avail. Few days later, I went for a third medical checkup where they did some basic tests, which included yeast and other blood tests. It supposedly turned out okay, but blood test showed a little high sugar value (nothing to be concerned of as per doctor). Somehow, after Aug of ’07, the whitish appearance and metallic taste subsided, and I was feeling good for about four months without any problems until end of December.
d) In Nov- Dec, I made an international trip which made me very stressed and exhausted. Again, occurrence of white tongue (with metallic taste) started since in January ‘08. Metallic taste went away after taking medication for acid reflux and heartburn, but white tongue still persists in its eight month.
e) Last one month, sudden occurrence of frequent urination symptoms has started which is more than my normal. So, went to doctor who ran some urine test and said since he did not find any UTI infection or any sugar. So, he did not do a blood test for sugar yet. However, when a different set of doctors did a test for Mycoplasma, they found both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. I have no idea what they are. I have been given antibiotics for both, and taking them. However, the urination symptoms still persist. So does the white tongue, but no metallic taste. With regards to the white tongue, when I scrape it, some of it goes away, but some of it still sticks. It is not painful, but is very annoying to look at as well as I feel a very rough and heavy tongue unless I brush it all away.
With all the above going on since the last two years or so, I am completely stressed out and unable to lead a normal life. Could any of these be related to STD’S in any manner? I have a family to take care of, and don’t want to put them through this misery as well.
Please let me know should I go ahead and get tested for the STD’S based on the above symptoms. I am scared to tell the doctors about the encounters and ask to be tested. The only test i have had so far is at the 6 week interval for the encounter. Nothing after that.
Thanks for your time
Genuniely worried and stressed out,
Roger
