doubtful Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia...

I had several high risk encounters with different guys 2 years ago, including UNprotected oral, vaginal and anal sex with different CSWs of several unindustrialized countries.. I know I have a stupid past but I've abstained from such behaviors for 2 years..
I realized that I have to stop it because I read something about AIDS, which rarely came to my mind before...
Then I got tested for HIV 3 months, 6 months and 12 months post my last high risk exposure, all negative.
But recently I got a very high temperature and coughed a lot. My temperature has come back to normal now, but I keep coughing severely all day everyday!!  I got series of tests yesterday and the dr said it may be Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, which is mainly confined to AIDS!! And he told me to test HIV..  I told him I had been tested for several times and results were all negative. He told me to have a CD4 count test.... I didn't obey and came home..
How could it happen??
Then I searched the net to see if it's possible to have HIV without being detected by tests, and it says some rare subtypes could be missed by some tests.. and late seroconversions do happen on some guys, though rarely...
So which type of tests should I take now to see if I am really infected by HIV of some rare subtypes?

Thank you. I tested my CD4 count today though, and it was 420...
It's rather low for a HIV-free guy, so my mind came back to the worry about those missed subtypes. I remember I saw some African seamen went in and out of the brothel and I even smiled and said hi to them! Later I know those rare HIV stem from Africa and spread to other places around the world..I used to work as a sailor for a Chinese company... Now I have completely lost my mind and unable to work any more...
What should I do?

You tested WAY beyond the window period...you don't have HIV...and the rare subtypes are not something 99.999% of the population need to ever worry about.

Keep working with your doctor to get to the bottom of your respiratory symptoms...they have nothing to do with HIV though.
