Hey. Id just like to thankyou for all of your kind words, i am happy to say i tried the oraquick today once again. I didnot eat this time and still got a negative result.! I hope that someone can come across my question and decide to get tested themselves . It will be the best thing that will ever happen to you when you see that negative result. And if unfortunately you're positive you can get the treatment you need. Its a win win situation never think of this test negatively not knowing is the only thing thats risky for your health!

Happy to help.  Really though if you have not exposed yourself with unprotected vaginal or anal sex since this incident 5 years ago you will be negative.  Odds of a single exposure of unprotected vaginal sex is about 1-2000.

Other studies suggest about 4 new infections for every 10.000 exposures to KNOWN HIV+ partners.  Odds the person you had unprotected sex with 5 years ago was infected are also highly unlikely.

Feel free to post your results here on the forum.  Maybe it will give others the same courage to get tested.

Understand I don't think you have HIV.  But for peace of mind to put this behind you I would recommend testing again so you KNOW without any "what if's" that you are fine.

If you are sexually active with different women it is healthy to test regularly anyway.  I would bet money it will remain negative provided you have not had any other incidents of unprotected vaginal or anal sex.

Good luck..
