elisa 1-2

hi to all

I want to test for HIV 1 & 2. in my countary (Iran) a laboratory carry out an elisa1-2 test.  the labratory didnt konw much about that and just told me that they have elisa 1-2 antibody test.

does this test cover both kinds of HIV1 & HIV2? does elisa 1-2 mean that HIV 1,2?

Taking an HIV test would be like me testing for Malaria...when I know I have no chances I could possibly have it.

If you want to waste both your time and money...not to mention MORE emotional turmoil over this, fine....the test avail to you will be sufficient.

i had a protected sex and i know that is safe. but for peace of my mind i do want to get tested. could you plz answer my previuos question?

At no time were you at risk of contracting HIV and you were advised of it.

I just asked a seroius question........ why you answer me like this?

does elisa 1-2 cover both HIV1-2 or it means another thing (e.g. generation, antigen, double check or....)
