fingering - hiv risk

Dr Hansfield,

Was on a european trip and linked up with an escort (admittedly a bad idea). Brought her to my room, where she disrobed and I ended up fingering her vagiina for 4 - 5 minutes before coming to my senses and asking her to leave. There was no other sexual activity whatsover (no kissing, no oral sex, no intercourse). After she left a few minutes later, I washed my hands thoroughly. Being somewhat paranoid however, I took the finger nail of my left hand to clean under the finger nails I had used on her in order to clean under the nail. I did this so rigorously that I created a small bleed under the corner of one finger nail that had been using on her.

I know fingering/masturbation is not an issue in and of itself. What I am concerned about is the issue of the cut I created when I was too paranoid and scraped under my fingernails (see original post). Did I create an entry point? This would have been several minutes after fingering her and also after I washed my hands.

I suppose in the back of my mind there is a remote chance that I could have had the original small cut under my nail while fingering her... but I doubt it... I am almost positive i created this small cut under my nail while cleaning under my nail with fingernails of the opposite hand.

I am also very anxious at the moment.... so now I am experiencing dry mouth and wondering if this is onset of HIV (The incident occured 3 days ago).

Any additional thoughtrs welcome

As Teak said masterbation is not a risk no matter what you try to introduce into the situation. It is not a risk because that is not how HIV is transmitted.

His background is extensive knowledge of HIV. If you want a Dr's opinion then post in the experts form.

Thanks for your reply Teak.

What about the blood issue I mentioned in my post? Non issue and if so why? I am sorry to ask so directly -- but what is your background as well?

Thank you so much
