hiv antibodies and testing

if you have exceeded the window period of 6 months and say you are infected, would you continue to produce antibodies so that you would test positive at 8 months or 2 years?

I guess my question is, once you test positive, will you always test positive on the rapid tests?
if not, when is this NOT the case?

Thanks for your help.

thanks for your feedback. what is strange is that I came into the clinis today in san Francisco to pick up condoms, and the nurse said it is POSSIBLE some cases can take up to 1 year.......being one of the main centers for the disease, I am surprised and SCARED..
