hiv rik after dental work

I am currently travelling in South Africa.  I had my wisdom teeth removed only two and a half weeks ago and ended up kissing a girl who had molar taken out the day before we kissed.  I would normally not consider kissing to contain any significant risk but it seems that it is possible both of us had open wounds in our mouths.  There didn't appear to be any blood from either of us and both though my teeth are still a little sore from the operation.  I do not know her status though I am negative.  Do I need to worry?  Should I consider retroviral?  I feel really stupid for getting into this situation over a kiss but I don't think I am overreacting.  Any advice most welcome..

* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
* After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
* Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension

Thank you Teak
Just over two weeks after that incident, I am now getting really worried after developing a whole range of symptoms, sore throat, temperature, swollen glands around the groin, swollen glands by the neck, shivering.
The doctor suggested Truvada as antiretroviral until I knew her status, though he did call it a low risk situation, despite, us both having had very recent dental work.  I took one of the doses over half a day late, as I was considering quitting it due to nasty side effects.
I had asked the girl if she wanted to see me again, she would have to do an HIV test.  She did the test but was too scared to collect the results.  She told me she had had unprotected sex many times with a previous partner.  There is a huge stigma around HIV and testing which is part of the problem of the epidemic here.
I know it sounds crazy but I'm a long way from home and pretty scared at what my body is going through.  Obviously, I am thinking it is HIV setting it.  Can antiretroviral cause some of those symptoms or could I have picked up something, possibly due to stress and anxiety?
Thank you for you help..

The stitches have nothing to do with it. nPEP should never have been given hap hazardly.

Thank you Teak, my worries were that stiches had not yet dissolved and it is still a little sore in that area.  I suppose I am possibly overeacting, but that is partly to do with what you hear about South Africa hiv rates, and partly because the private doctor I spoke to here didn't rule it out, and suggested retroviral to eliminated the small risk..  Thanks again..

You never had an exposure. Extraction begin healing soon after the extraction from the inside out.
