hiv transmission - blood under fingernails

I understand hiv is transmitted through mucus membranes.  There are mucus membranes in your fingernails so if you get infected blood under your fingernail, can you get hiv?

thanks Vance...gross as it is, it was more or less an acne type cystic boil with infection and some blood that went under the fingernail - still no risk? even if viral load was high at the time?

No, HIV is not transmitted outside of the body.
